The BRIMI Foundation was created from a very personal place in my heart. I’ve always carried a deep desire to help children see themselves clearly, not just their reflection, but their worth. I wanted to create something that would help children feel beautiful on the inside, know their value, and walk confidently in their own skin. That vision became BRIMI—short for Beauty Resides In My Image, because I believe every child should be able to look in the mirror and see someone good, someone kind, someone beautiful staring back at them.
Building a nonprofit and keeping the vision alive through personal challenges, limited funding, and seasons of uncertainty has not been easy. But it has absolutely been worth it. Every child that might smile while holding one of our books, every parent who says “thank you,” and every moment I see a spark of self-love light up in a child’s eyes, that’s why I keep going.
There were many moments I didn’t know what the next step would be. But my passion for children, and for helping them love who they are, kept me grounded. That inner drive helped me push through, even when things felt unclear or overwhelming.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is to never give up, especially when what you’re doing is connected to your purpose. You have to pursue the calling on your life with courage, even when it doesn’t make sense to others. I’ve also learned that the vision may shift, but the heart behind it doesn’t have to. When you lead with love, something beautiful always grows.
What I want supporters to know is that BRIMI is not just an organization, it’s a reflection of love, truth, and authenticity. Our message is simple: Beauty Resides In My Image. That means every child deserves to know they are beautiful, valuable, and capable of great things, not because of what they wear or how they look, but because of who they are on the inside.
With gratitude,
Robin
