Helping Girls Build Emotional Awareness & Resilience The Managing My Emotions program is designed to teach girls ages 8-13 how to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions in a supportive and fun environment. Through interactive discussions, creative activities, and real-life roleplay scenarios, participants learn essential emotional intelligence skills such as self-awareness, coping strategies, and healthy ways to express their feelings. Our program empowers young girls to build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and empathy.
Program Highlights💛 Understanding Emotions: Participants explore what emotions are, why we feel them, and how they affect our behavior. They learn that all emotions are normal and how to respond in healthy ways.
💛 Naming & Managing Feelings: Through fun games and hands-on activities, girls practice identifying their emotions and those of others. They also learn how to label and express their feelings using positive communication skills.
💛 Coping Strategies Toolbox: Each girl creates her own “Calm Down Toolbox” filled with personalized coping tools like breathing techniques, positive affirmations, and creative outlets they can use when managing challenging emotions.
💛 Roleplay & Real-Life Scenarios: Girls participate in guided roleplay sessions that simulate real-life social situations, helping them develop conflict-resolution skills, empathy, and emotional regulation.
💛 Mindfulness & Relaxation: Our program concludes with mindfulness exercises like guided breathing and visualization techniques, promoting self-soothing and emotional balance.
